For millennia the outdoors has been the playground and school for our children. With the advent of concrete buildings and IT we run the risk of losing this important connection with our past learning experiences.
Our forest schools activities are particularly designed to encourage groups of children to learn from the world of nature around them; to reach out into the flora and fauna with interest instead of fear and find a world of learning apart from the modern class room. A place where a click is a noise made by a beetle, dragging and dropping is what you do with sticks when you build a den and the ceiling green and backlit as the sunlight filters through the canopy above.
